Grades K-2 Instructional Clinic

Learn to Play

Our K–2 Instructional Clinic is an introduction to field hockey designed specifically for young beginners.  Athletes will learn field hockey through games, movement activities and age‑appropriate skill stations that build coordination and confidence. The focus is on learning the basics in a supportive environment.

  •     Foundational skills: Dribbling, stopping the ball, simple passing and safe stick handling taught through playful activities.
  • Movement and coordination: Running, balance, agility and spatial awareness woven into sessions.
  • Small‑group instruction: Coaches guide athletes through short, engaging stations that keep them moving and learning.
  • Fun‑first environment: Emphasis on exploration, teamwork and positive experiences.

We will run three (3), one hour sessions on the fields at D-Y Middle School from 5PM to 8PM on Wednesday evenings for six weeks starting July 8, 2026. We will try to book Grades K-2 for 5PM-6PM and/or 6PM-7PM. Exact time slots will be confirmed after registration is closed and we know how many have registered for each age division.
